- تستخدم في وسط الجمله لتربط بين جملتين متناقضتين
- وتاتي في الوسط وتسبق بفاصلة
- وتاتي بعدها فاعل وفعل ، وتاتي في البداية وتتبع بفاعل وفعل وبعدها فاصلة)
- ex: I am eating meat ,whereas I am vegetarian.
- Whereas I am vegetarian ,I am eating meat .
